Flora and fauna of the Wirra (with Aldgate Kingergarten, Adelaide Hills)

Educational signposts for Aldgate Kindergarten’s revegetation and nature walk project, produced with Aldgate Kindergarten. Original illustrations, layout and deisign. Project was conducted and installed on Peramangk land.

From the Welcome sign:

Wirra: Peramangk for ‘bush/scrub’

‘This small patch of remnant native vegetation is our outdoor classroom. The Kindergarten and school children, their families and the educators work and learn in this Wirra.

The Wirra plants provide food and shelter for a variety of native animals, and is potential habitat for the Southern Brown bandicoot’
